PlayStation 5 Digital Edition console announced

By Sean Carey,
Sony has finally given us a look at its upcoming PlayStation 5 console and has also announced that there will be two editions of the console. A standard PlayStation 5 console and an all-digital version called the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition.

Both consoles feature a striking yet sleek looking design. Sony has opted for a predominantly white console that matches the white DualSense controller previously announced. We can also see some spiffy blue accent lighting that surrounds the top of the PS5. The only real difference that we can see between the normal PS5 and the Digital Edition is that the digital version doesn't have a disc drive, and it's slightly thinner. Other than that, the two look identical.

We expect to hear more on the Digital Edition in the coming weeks/months including its price and launch date.

The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will launch Holiday 2020.
