Call of Duty: WWII is June's first PlayStation Plus title

By Heidi Nicholas,
PlayStation has announced the first game of June's PlayStation Plus lineup. Call of Duty: WWII is already available to download today, with more details on the rest of June's games to arrive this week.

PS Plus June

Activision describes 2017's Call of Duty: WWII as offering "a breathtaking experience that redefines World War II for a new gaming generation. Land in Normandy on D-Day and battle across Europe through iconic locations in history’s most monumental war. Experience classic Call of Duty combat, the bonds of camaraderie, and the unforgiving nature of war." It's got an estimated completion time of around 35-40 hours, so it should keep you entertained for a while.

PlayStation has promised details on the other half of June's lineup soon, but it seems one possible contender has already been spotted. Again, Sony hasn't confirmed or even hinted at June's second PS Plus game, so this could just be a mistake: but if you add Marvel's Spider-Man to your basket on the UK PlayStation Store, it asks whether you want the Standard Edition, free with PS Plus.

Spider-Man

Marvel's Spider-Man remains one of PlayStation's most popular exclusives. It's rated at 4.65/5 from the TT community, with a completion estimate of around 25-30 hours, and has been heavily requested for PS Plus for some time. Sony hasn't confirmed anything yet, and June's second PS Plus game could turn out to be something entirely different, but for now we can hope to see Peter Parker & co announced for PS Plus soon.

There's still time for May's PlayStation Plus games: both Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 19 will remain available until the end of the month.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
