The Last of Us Part 2 has gone gold ahead of June launch

Naughty Dog has confirmed that The Last of Us Part II has gone gold ahead of the game's launch in June.

Announced in a video over on Twitter, Naughty Dog's VP, Neil Druckmann, says the studio has submitted the gold master, copies are now being pressed, and players will have the game "in just a few short weeks." Druckmann goes on to congratulate the Naughty Dog team for creating "the most ambitious game we've ever made."

Significant spoilers relating to The Last of Us Part II's plot were leaked and posted up online recently. Towards the end of the video, Druckmann says, "No matter what you've seen, or heard, or read, nothing compares to playing this thing from beginning to end. It's a video game; you gotta play it."

The Last of Us Part II launches on June 19th.
