The port of Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is out now on PS4 and brings with it a modernised control scheme and of course, trophies.

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

If you didn't play the original — which was released way back in 2003 — players take on the role of a Padawan and undergo training to become Jedi. Under the watchful eye of Luke Skywalker, they will learn how to use the force and how to wield a lightsaber. Players can customise their character and their lightsaber. During the game, you'll come across numerous recognisable faces from across the Star Wars universe, and travel to familiar locations.

The game supports up to 16 online players across six different multiplayer modes. The classics from the original are all present including Siege, Power Duel, Capture the Flag, Duel and Free For All. Free For All can be played solo and in teams. One of the biggest challenges Aspyr faced was bringing a modern control scheme to multiplayer. Aspyr says over on PlayStation Blog it worked hard to keep the original spirit of the online game modes while updating the controls to modern standards.

We have recently picked up the full Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy trophy list. The list features a total of 37 trophies comprising of 18 bronze, 14 silver, 4 gold and 1 platinum.

I grew up on everything PlayStation — mainly Metal Gear Solid, with a brief foray into the world of Xbox. Nowadays, you'll find me mainly playing multiplayer PC games such as Mordhau, but with the recent addition of the Xbox Games Pass for PC, I'm looking forward to improving my TA Score and completion percentage!
