Death Stranding's Photo Mode is coming to PS4

By Heidi Nicholas,
Hideo Kojima took to Twitter to confirm that the Photo Mode, previously exclusive to the PC version of Death Stranding, will be implemented for the PS4. Kojima says they're finalising checks now, but hope to see it implemented by the end of this month.

Fans seem delighted with this news, and Kojima adds that it's been requested many times. Death Stranding's now been out for several months, and although it was met with a little bit of a mixed reception at first, fans are hugely enthusiastic about the game. Kojima himself commented on the reception of Death Stranding in an interview with the NY Times, in which he said that “In America, they’re used to shooters, so they don’t gulp it down... It’s OK; everyone can evaluate what they want... In three to five years, we will see what people will say.”

Although there hasn't been much concrete info on future content for the game or a possibility of DLC, Kojima's previous comments indicated that a Death Stranding sequel could look completely different — he said in an interview with Vulture that he "would start from zero".

For now, it seems, PS4 fans are delighted that they'll soon be getting the Photo Mode — which, according to Kojima's tweet, should be happening "at the end of this month's update".

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
