A Multitude of Maps is Dungeons 3's final DLC

By Heidi Nicholas,
Kalypso Media and Realmforge Studios announce the final DLC for Dungeons 3. A Multitude of Maps will "close off" the saga, introducing new missions and, as you might have guessed, new maps.

Three years since release, and it seems the devs are finally laying Dungeons 3 to rest. "A Multitude of Maps closes off the Dungeons 3 saga", the announcement says, "with new missions and action-packed skirmish maps, while also giving the game’s sardonic narrator a proper send off." The DLC comes with three new maps and missions for skirmish and multiplayer: ‘The Summoning Stones’, ‘Corpses for the Mortuary Mountain’ and ‘Re-burying the Golem". It's available on the PlayStation store for $4.99.

The trailer promises that this is "the final, final DLC (for real)" — the game's previous DLC, released last year, was originally intended to be the final one, and was even called Famous Last Words. Since it was, at the time, the final DLC, the devs made it a little more playful — it broke the fourth wall by pitting the player against the narrator as the final enemy. However, the Dungeons 3 team now seems pretty determined that A Multitude of Maps will be the game's final DLC, "for real". "It’s time to put on the oversized boots of the Absolute Evil one last time", the game's site says, "to fight the particularly dull forces of Good...Show your opponents you know how to smash skulls with a warhammer and demonstrate your skills in harmonious strife to your worst friends and favorite enemies alike." A Multitude of Maps is out now.
