The Druids, Furfolk and Relic Defense DLC is out now for Portal Knights

By Heidi Nicholas,
Portal Knight's newest DLC, Druid, Furfolk and Relic Defence, adds a new playable race, a new class, and new arenas. The developers are also releasing another update for free, which makes a range of basic mounts available to all players, as well as the ability to build race tracks for them.

The Druids are the new playable class; they can transform into different shapes, including a bear, a spider, and a pile of slime. The Furfolk are a new playable class, and come with customisable ears and muzzles, as well as different colours for their fur. Also included in the DLC are three new arenas, each of which comes with a Hard Mode. Players have to defend the Star Stone relics by using traps and magical attacks against waves of enemies. Aside from coins for new weapons and armour, players will also be rewarded for their efforts with suitably magical items: mounts such as unicorns, dragons, white tigers — and a chicken.

The devs are also releasing a free mount update, which lets players build their own stable and collect a range of basic mounts. Pigs, horses, and tigers will be available from merchants across the map, and players will also be able to use Creative Mode to build race tracks to test out these new mounts.

The Druids, Furfolk and Relic Defence DLC is available from the PlayStation Store for £7.99/$9.99. The mount update is free to all players, and both are out now.

Hey, I'm Heidi! I've just finished studying a Masters in English Literature, but I've been obsessed with gaming since long before then. I began on the PS2 with Spyro, before graduating to the Xbox 360 and disappearing into Skyrim. I'm now a loyal RPG fan, but I still like to explore other genres — when I'm not playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey, or being lured back into Red Dead Redemption 2 or The Witcher 3!
