Resident Evil 3 Remake Officially Announced Coming April 3 2020 By Sean Carey, 10 Dec 2019 CommentsAfter suffering months of leaks, the Resident Evil 3 remake was officially announced today, during Sony's State of Play live stream and will be coming to PS4 on April 3, 2020. Resident Evil 3 launches with multiplayer co-op game Resident Evil Resistance (previously titled Project Resistance). We were treated to a tense trailer that features a bunch of characters including Jill and Nemesis, and it looks like that leaked cover art from last week turned out to be true as Nemesis looks similar to the one featured in the art. In case you haven't played the original, Resident Evil 3 is set amidst the outbreak of the T-virus, a biological weapon developed by the Umbrella Corporation. The story follows Jill Valentine and her efforts to escape from Raccoon City while being hunted down by the hulking humanoid bioweapon Nemesis. According to the special developer message below, Nemesis has more ways to track down his target than the Tyrant from Resident Evil 2.Resident Evil 3 also includes the online game Resident Evil Resistance (originally thought to be a standalone title), that was previously titled Project Resistance. Resistance has players team up in a 4 vs 1 co-op experience. One person plays as the Mastermind who has secretly kidnapped people and forces them into desperate situations for research purposes. The Mastermind does not face the survivor directly but observes through security cameras, while manipulating the environment and setting traps that include the releasing of lickers, crawling zombies and a Tyrant. There are several survivors from which players can pick from each with unique abilities who all need to escape. There is also a special Collectors Edtion of the game which features a map of Raccoon City, Artbook, the game's soundtrack, a S.T.A.R.S packaging box and an 11" figure of Jill. Players that pre-order will also get the Resident Evil 3 Classic Costume Pack as a bonus. Resident Evil 3 launches worldwide on April 3, 2020, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.Image source: GematsuAnnouncementPlayStation 4 Written by Sean CareyHey everyone! I'm Sean.
