Street Fighter V Gets $30 Champion Edition By Heidi Nicholas, 18 Nov 2019 CommentsCapcom have announced the Champion Edition for Street Fighter V. The Champion Edition includes nearly all the content from both Street Fighter V and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, along with all the content which released afterwards, bringing the game's totals to 40 characters, 34 stages, and more than 200 costumes. The Champion Edition will be available as a physical and digital edition for $29.99/£24.99 on February 14th 2020. Everything from Street Fighter V and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will be included except for the Fighting Chance and brand collaboration costumes, and Capcom Pro Tour DLC. Every character, stage and costume which was released after the Arcade Edition will also be included. In addition, the Champion Edition of Street Fighter V also gets Gill, the boss of the Street Fighter III series, and a new "Sun Chase Moon" stage. All players will get new V-Skills for each character and a new balance update. Starting today, Capcom are also adding holiday-themed content to the Champion Edition with new costumes for G, Poison and MSRP, whilst later in November will be the new "Holly Jolly Beatdown" stage. There's also a small Monster Hunter crossover as, from November 22nd until December 20th, those who get "Quest Complete" in Extra Battle mode will get a new Blanka costume. Meanwhile, those who already have a version of Street Fighter V will be able to get the Upgrade Kit for $24.99/£19.99. The Upgrade Kit gets you all of the content coming to the Champion Edition, as it becomes available. Basically, if you've already got Street Fighter V, you can still get the content coming to the Champion Edition for around $25. Pre-ordering the Champion Edition also rewards players with a new costume colour for each of their characters. All of this content will also be available individually if you decide you don't want to get it all. Gill: Gill is the leader of the Secret Society and the end boss of the Street Fighter III series. In the Champion Edition, he's returning to Street Fighter V to carry out the Secret Society's prophecy. Gill relies on Pyrokinesis and Cyrokinesis. His abilties with fire and ice are responsible for his appearance, and all of his heavy normal attacks, as well as most of his special moves, have something to do with the elements. For instance, his punch surrounds enemies with fire. His standing roundhouse kick has a frozen factor to it. Gill's unique mechanic is Retribution. Gill arrives with the Champion Edition in February next year, or can be purchased from December for $5.99 / €5.99 / £4.99 or 100,000 Fight Money."Sun Chase Moon" stage: $3.99 / €3.99 / £3.29 or 70,000 Fight Money. The Sun Chase Moon stage is home to one of the Secret Society's hidden bases. The moon and sun are both visible, whilst the temple-like building in the centre lights up. Holiday costumes for G, Poison and Lucia: $3.99 / €3.99 / £3.29"Holly Jolly Beatdown" stage: MSRP $1.99 / €1.99 / £1.69 or 40,000 Fight Money. The stage is a transformation from Abigail's auto shop to a holiday-themed winter stage. The Champion Edition is available on February 14th 2020.PlayStation 4 View comments Written by Heidi NicholasHey, I'm Heidi!
