New Yakuza: Like A Dragon Trailer Unveiled at Tokyo Game Show

By Sean Carey,
Sega has released a new trailer for a new Yakuza game which has been dubbed a "complete reimagining of the franchise." Yakuza: Like a Dragon is coming to PS4 in Japan on January 16th 2020 with a Western launch later the same year.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon introduces Ichiban Kasuga, a new main protagonist. He is a low-level Yakuza member who agrees to take the wrap for a murder he didn't commit. After serving time in prison, Kasuga returns to the outside world only to be forgotten and betrayed by his boss.

Players will be able to explore a new side of Japan that has never been seen before in the series with the game taking place in Ijincho, a fictional setting based on Japan's Yokohama. Combat is also different this time around and has moved over to a turn-based RPG system.

We don't have an official date for the Western release yet, but as soon as we do, we will let you know.

We've got the full list of Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PS4) trophies - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
