So many great memories from playing this in 1999. With trophies as an added incentive, I look forward to going back down Memory Lane for the first time in so long.

Same! I’ve been thumbing through my old strategy guide to psyche myself up.

I thought there would be more from Triple Triad. Like how FF9 had you beat loads of people in its equivalent.

This was my first RPG back when I was 12 years old. Was given it by my uncle and never looked back. Played it countless times and loved the card game. VII I played after at the same time as Alundra. Now do I have the time to do it all again, especially with the backlog I have built up again.

I hope it has the original music and doesn't have that same music loop glitch the VII and IX had at launch. They still haven't fixed VII on PS4....

These look pretty fun and don't see anything that's going to be a huge grind, which is always a bonus for me.

Trying to decide between this version or Switch version. Are there any trophies here that are extremely missable or extremely grindy? I don’t mind some grind but I’m not very familiar with FFVIII

Haven't played FF8 in nearly 15 years, I can't wait for my next days off so I can play this. It's gonna be such a nostalgia trip.

This list is very reasonable. There is only one issue of Timber Maniacs that is missable. There are missable GF's, but honestly it is pretty difficult to miss them and usually takes more effort to miss them that get them.

The Steam achievement for FFVIII list has much more grinding and much more missables than the trophy list, as yoyu need to get all magazines and all cards which is highly missable, as well as 10,000 kills which is a huge grind and beating the game with Squall at base level which can easily be messed up.

Overall I am glad they didn't just port the Steam list to the remaster, but if you want 100% on top of the trophies you will need to collect all magazines and get all cards.

This is essentially "if you know the game enough, just playing through it will nab you the platinum". Shouldn't be too hard, right?

Not hard at all, maybe use a guide unless you remember all the side quest stuff.

Well this list looks disappointing. With the exception of the lake and PuPu, these will come easy to any through completionist general play.

I was expecting stuff like collect all of Quistis' limit breaks, or perform a 12 hit combo with Zel, or anything a little challenging.
Still, I'd sooner take this over FF9's jump rope trophy. Eugh
