PlayStation Exclusive Concrete Genie is Coming This October By Sean Carey, 30 Jul 2019 CommentsThe release date for PS4 exclusive Concrete Genie has been revealed along with a digital deluxe edition and a new trailer. After being announced way back in 2017, Concrete Genie was initially slated for a Spring 2019 release, but due to delays, PixelOpus finally announced the title would be coming to the console on the 9th October. In Concrete Genie, you play as Ash, a young artist who is growing up in the dark and abandoned fishing town of Denska. Ash is the unfortunate victim of bullying and uses his art to brighten up the world around him. After finding a magic paintbrush, his paintings — called Genies — come to life and help him to solve puzzles and tackle monsters. Concrete Genie also features two VR modes that make use of the PlayStation Move controllers. The first is VR Experience, which is a separate quest from the main game. Players will follow a curious Genie called Splotch on a quest to unlock a mysterious power hidden beneath Denska's lighthouse. After VR Experience has been completed, players will unlock the Free Paint mode. Players will have the choice of four unique locations from around Denska, where they can experiment with using the Living Paint, and Genie creation brushes that players can collect during the main game. Also announced was a digital deluxe edition which includes a few extra goodies, including a digital artbook, the soundtrack to the game, a Pond Design Pack for use in-game and a Dynamic Theme featuring the lighthouse location in the game. Both the standard edition ($29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99) and the digital deluxe edition ($39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99) can be pre-ordered now. We've got the full list of Concrete Genie trophies - check the list for guides to unlocking them.PlayStation VRRelease DateUpcoming ReleasePlayStation 4 Written by Sean CareyHey everyone!
