The First Great TrueTrophies Score Challenge

By Sam Quirke, 3 months ago
It's time to finally introduce the TrueGaming Network's biggest contest to TrueTrophies. The Great TrueTrophies Score Challenge enters players into a weekly elimination league based on their TrueTrophy score — based on the TrueAchievements equivalent created by planting42.

How does it work?

There are two separate but concurrent contests - the Individual and Team Contest. This year, the Teams will consist of 2 gamers.

The contest runs for 12 periods of one week, and at the end of each period the lowest scoring teams in each contest are eliminated and the leaderboards are reset for the next period. Periods will end on Mondays at 13:00 UTC.

GTTSC 2019 Elimination: Elimination is based on the TrueTrophies score of the individual or the combined TrueTrophy score of the team. Remember, your TrueTrophies score can decrease over time due to "decay" (trophies earned by more gamers become less valuable in TT score).

You must try to keep yourself or your team above the elimination line at the end of the period. Those falling under the line at the end of the period go home empty-handed.

Important note: TrueTrophies only tracks trophies that appear on the PlayStation Network and are publicly visible. If you have your Trophies or Games activity hidden on PSN, we will not be able to track your trophies.

When does it start?

Registration for the event is open now, and the first period will start on Monday August 5th at 13:00 UTC.

How do I register?

Head over to the GTTSC Event Hub and hit "Register" to choose to enter the individual or team contest, or both. Note that entering the team contest will not put you into a team - you'll need to create one or accept an invite into one. If you are not in a team by the time the contest starts you will be put into a random team with other registered gamers not yet in a team.

Do I get anything cool?

You will be given a Community Challenge badge for reaching Week 5 of the Individual competition.

See the GTTSC contest forum for more info.

We hope you will join us for this exciting new event, and please share this story around so we can make the event as successful as possible!
