Marvel's Spider-Man might be finished in terms of substantial DLC expansions, but the creators are still willing to drop in the occasional free suit. The latest additions are in honor of this week's new movie release, Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Spider-Man Far Frome Home hits theatres from today.
As confirmed by PlayStation Japan on Twitter, Insomniac have put Spidey's two new suits from the movie into their beloved game, and they will be available as free DLC. One is a snazzy black-and-red version of the classic suit, while the other is a full-black stealth suit not dissimilar from the classic Spider-Man Noir suit. The other major suit from the movie, Iron Spider, has been in the game since launch.
Insomniac have been generous with extra suits since the game's story DLC wrapped up with The City That Never Sleeps: Silver Lining. We've gotten the heavily requested Spider-Man (2002) suit, plus the infamous Bag-Man suit that briefly saw Spider-Man become a member of the Fantastic Four. This also means that Insomniac are keeping up their track record, in terms of including every variant of the iconic suit from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as Sony's other well-regarded outings with the brand in the original Tobey Maguire trilogy and the recent smash hit Into the Spider-Verse.
The suits allegedly arrive today — we'll let you know if we spot them.
