Uncharted, Last of Us Multiplayer Modes Go Free on PS3 Ahead of Server Closures

By Sam Quirke,
Almost ten years ago, Naughty Dog released Uncharted 2: Among Thieves to huge critical acclaim — not only for its groundbreaking narrative action, but also because it had a surprisingly solid multiplayer mode. The studio would continue to include multiplayer in their next PlayStation 3 titles — Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, and some zombie game called The Last of Us. All three games have had multiplayer servers chugging away for nearly a decade, but all good things must end.

Naughty Dog have announced plans to shut down all multiplayer servers for their three PlayStation 3 titles. It's a sad day for the team but they want to give the remaining players a decent send off, which is why all three games' multiplayer has been made free to download on PlayStation 3, right up until the servers finally shut down.
