This week's State of Play will give us a new look at the remaster of MediEvil, plus news of an unannounced game and some updates on projects in progress.

State of Play

State of Play is PlayStation's answer to Nintendo Direct and Inside Xbox – a brief broadcast showcasing some of the projects in progress that are coming to the platform.

According to his PlayStation Blog post, Social Media Director Sid Shuman will be showing off new footage of MediEvil plus this mysterious new game, as well as updates on PlayStation 4 titles in the works. Sadly he has confirmed in the same post that we will not be getting a surprise visit from anything next-gen; don't expect a sudden PlayStation 5 announcement. Here's hoping we can at least get a release date for MediEvil.

The State of Play broadcast begins on May 9th, at 3pm Pacific time. That's 6pm Eastern, and 11pm in the UK.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the MediEvil trophies.
