Santa Monica Studio Announces God of War: Raising Kratos Documentary

By Rebecca Smith, 5 months ago
God of War celebrated its first anniversary last week with a free theme and avatar set for all PlayStation 4 players. They plan to continue that celebration with a new full-length feature documentary called Raising Kratos, which will look at the lengths the studio went through over five years to create a game that successfully rebooted the franchise.

The documentary itself took three years to make and the studio captured nearly 400 hours of footage that had to be whittled down to create the documentary. Not only does the documentary look at the game, it focuses on the people who made it at Santa Monica Studio as it depicts "second chances rooted in family, sacrifice, struggle and doubt".

Raising Kratos will air on the PlayStation Youtube channel "soon".
