Pre-E3 Final Fantasy VII Concert Fuels Remake Speculation

By Rebecca Smith,
Now that we're midway through April, rumours are starting to fly about what games we might see at E3. Admittedly, PlayStation gamers haven't had much to get excited about so far after Sony confirmed they wouldn't be attending E3, but that doesn't mean developers like Square Enix will hold back. Rumours are starting to spread about the possible appearance of FINAL FANTASY VII Remake after the first ever concert dedicated to Final Fantasy VII, FINAL FANTASY VII - A Symphonic Reunion, was announced to take place on June 9th, the same day that Microsoft and Bethesda are holding their E3 presentations. The best bit? It's being held in Los Angeles, home of gaming's biggest annual conference:

The concert will feature "a symphonic orchestra and choir of more than 100 musicians on stage with giant screen HD video projection". There will also be a video programme featuring footage from the original version of the game that has been made especially for the event and features the "best moments of the story of the game". Will it also include footage from the remake? The timing and location of the concert would certainly seem like a missed opportunity if not.

As shown above, tickets to the concert will be available from La Fée Sauvage from 12pm PDT on Saturday, April 20th. Prices begin at the odd total of US$77.77.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the FINAL FANTASY VII Remake trophies.
