Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted Announced

By Rebecca Smith,
Back in November, Five Nights at Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon revealed he was in the process of bringing "new, improved, HD ports of all of the original games" to PlayStation 4. Since then, we've heard very little else, but that all changed during PlayStation's State of Play video stream earlier this week when they revealed Five Nights At Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted for PlayStation VR.

Help Wanted is not a direct port of any of the original games despite the promise in November. Instead, it's a collection of VR experiences that are based on the original games, as well as some new experiences too. Players will still be trying to survive a night in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza while the animatronic robots have their own ideas about your future, but while players have previously been able to feel a sense of protection while everything plays out on a screen, now players will feel like they're actually there.

The game will use either the Dualshock 4 controller or the Move motion controllers for players to interact with items in the game, such as doors, light switches, the flashlight, and a variety of other items. They'll also be able to earn collectibles that can be used at the prize counter, such as plushies, bobble heads, and action figures.

Five Nights At Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted will be released this spring.
