Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered: Best of the Best Trophy Guide

From today Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will be available to play for free on the PlayStation 4 as part of March's PlayStation Plus offering. Unlike the original game's release back on the PS3 in November 2007, the remastered version of Modern Warfare comes with the added bonus of trophies to unlock.

One of the first trophies you can earn in the game is called Best of the Best, where you will be tasked with completing the cargo ship mockup in under 15.1 seconds — there's also one for completing it in under 19 seconds.

If you want to make unlocking the Best of the Best trophy a little bit easier on yourself, here's a quick guide to help you on your way.

Strategy for the Best of the Best Trophy in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered

The first thing you will want to do is make a couple of practice runs through the course so that you are aware of where all of the cardboard cutout enemies will appear and where you need to throw flashbangs. Accuracy is key to getting the quicker times on the course, as you can deduct up to three seconds off your final time with the accuracy bonus — bringing down the time required to a less daunting 18.1 seconds. I found the MP5 (found at the top of the ladders) was the best weapon for accuracy and clip size. You really don't want to have to reload at any point.

When you rappel down the rope, jump to the right when you hit the bottom. This might take some practice to time correctly so it's one fluid movement. Take out the first two enemies that you can see immediately in front of you and begin to sprint around to the door on the right.

Take out the third enemy beside the door by either shooting or melee killing as you run past.

Sprint down the stairs slightly to the left of the last enemy you just killed and shoot the enemy at the bottom.

Prepare a flashbang as you are running down the stairs and toss it into the next room as you turn the corner. Hide behind the wall so that you don't blind yourself, and then enter the room taking out the two enemies in front and slightly to the left of you.

Move through the door on the left, be careful not to get caught on the door frame so that it slows you down, and take out the two enemies in that room.

Room Three Enemies

Prepare another flashbang, throw it through the next door on your left. As soon as you throw the flashbang, move to the exit on your right so that it doesn't blind you. Start walking backwards whilst still aiming your gun towards the room, shoot the one enemy you can see through the doorway, and aim slightly to the right to shoot the second enemy through the wall.

Once the last enemy is down, turn around and sprint forwards towards the finish line/timer.

If at any point you mess up, pause the game and reload the last checkpoint. Anything less than an almost perfect run will mean your time is too high.
