Will Kingdom Hearts III be Getting Critical Mode?

By Rebecca Smith,
One of the things the most avid Kingdom Hearts fans appreciate is the Critical difficulty mode that's been present in the franchise since Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. Unfortunately the mode is currently missing from KINGDOM HEARTS III, but it seems like Square Enix may be intending to add it to the game in the future. Twitter user @Keytotruth has been editing the save files of the PlayStation 4 version of the game and has uncovered the presence of an internal Critical mode:

The source suggests that the main difference between Critical mode and the current hardest difficulty in the game, Proud mode, is that players can deal and receive double the amount of damage in the former. There are also smaller HP and MP bars in Critical mode, as shown by the comparison screenshots.

Square Enix hasn't confirmed the presence of the mode yet, but as soon as we hear anything more, we'll be sure to let you know.
