Resident Evil 2's DLC is due to drop tomorrow. As revealed earlier in the month, Ghost Survivors tells three stories from the perspective of alternative protagonists: A shopkeeper, the mayor's daughter and an Umbrella soldier.

PlayStation Blog has gotten the scoop on the DLC's details. There may be some spoilers ahead for the main game, as all of these characters featured in the story.

No Time to Mourn features Robert Kendo of Gun Shop Kendo, who in this alternate reality manages to survive his segment of the main campaign and fights to escape via a friend's helicopter. Runaway features Katherine Warren, whose fate was already sealed before Resident Evil 2's story began. In this version she too has a chance to escape. Forgotten Soldier features an Umbrella grunt thought to have been wiped out along with his squad, but here survives to attempt a careful exit from the labs under Raccoon City.

Mechanically Ghost Survivors have a few differences from The 4th Survivor and the main game. You can practice your runs in Practice mode for starters. Unlike 4th Survivor and Tofu Survivor you can pick up items, but not from the environment; you'll get pick-ups from downed zombies and vending machines. Choose carefully from the machines, as you will be locked out of obtaining the items you do not choose for the current run.

The Ghost Survivors is due to feature new trophies and achievements as well — we will be sure to update you when these drop.
