Promised for February, the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt crossover has arrived as part of the latest title update for Monster Hunter: World. The Research Commission hunters have a new problem to solve in the form of an otherworldly creature and his anomalies, but they need help. Who better to help out than Geralt of Rivia, once again voiced by Doug Cockle?
The first part of the collaboration, Contract: Trouble in the Ancient Forest, is available right now to players at Hunter Rank 16 or above. As Geralt, players need to track down a powerful spirit known as the Leshen. He''l be armed with his signature silver sword and witcher signs to take on the old creature, but be careful what you do and say, because dialogue choices will affect the way the story goes.
If players manage to complete the task, they'll be able to craft the Geralt a full armor set for the Hunter, as well as the Witcher’s Silver Sword weapon in the Sword & Shield category. Palicos will get the ability to craft the Nekker a full armor set and Cursed Staff a weapon. There will also be new gestures, titles, a pose, and a guild card background.
The second part of the collaboration arrives on February 15th at 1:00 AM CET. Contract: Woodland Spirit pits players against a much tougher version of the Leshen. While players must be at Hunter Level 50 or above, they will be able to recruit the help of their friends for this one. Conquering this far deadlier challenge will reward Hunters with the Ciri a full armor set and Dual Blades weapon.
Contract: Woodland Spirit will be available until 00:59 AM CET on March 1st, so if you want to get your hands on the limited time rewards, start getting your group together and take on the beast sooner rather than later.
