The Empires Patch for Boundless Has Landed, Here's What It Does

The new Boundless patch is called Empires, and it lets players join and maintain a guild as well as message friends and guild members across the Universe. Of course, there's also new blocks and new fixes. This major update is available now on PlayStation 4.

Anyone can create or join a Guild, by crafting a Guild Control book. Players can assign different levels of permission within the guild that equate to admin, mod, controller and guild member. Players who align Beacons to their guild will pool Prestige and also protect the Settlement. Guild admins can even create factions within their guilds.

Elsewhere, Cross Universe Message will allow you to contact friends and Guild members across the game's shared Universe. Guild Controllers can even access a logbook listing all activity for that Guild in the Universe.

As you might expect, there's also a bunch of new blocks, including the decorative Marble, Mosaic, Refined Gravel and Wicker. There's a huge list of general fixes, balances and improvements — if you want all the details check the link above.
