Stardew Valley creator ConcernedApe has decided to go it alone. The developer has ended the game's publishing agreement with Chucklefish, and future expansions or iterations of the game will be self-published.
The split seems to be amicable enough, according to the statements released by both parties. ConcernedApe is simply realising his ultimate ambition to publish his own work.
The press release also references the Nintendo Switch and mobile versions of the game as well as the Switch multiplayer update, all of which are still being published by Chucklefish during this transition period.
ConcernedApe begins self-publishing Stardew Valley on December 14th.
