Telltale Games Officially Shutting Down, Games Disappearing From The Steam Store

By Sam Quirke,
The sad but inevitable news of the day is that Telltale Games are officially closing down. A company called Sherwood Partners have confirmed to GameDaily.biz that they are overseeing the company's "assignment", which essentially means that Sherwood will be liquidating the company's remaining assets and overseeing repayment to creditors. Telltale never filed for bankruptcy, so presumably the last few months have been spent securing whatever finances were needed to settle up with those creditors.

Final Season

As previously reported, Skybound Games have agreed to finish the Final Season of The Walking Dead. The most recent comments from the studio suggest that they hope to have a second episode out by December.

Meanwhile a number of older Telltale titles have started disappearing from the Steam store. Tales from Monkey Island, Jurassic Park and Back to the Future are all missing, though the later catalogue seems to still be intact for the time being.

The Back to the Future: The Game - 30th Anniversary Edition and Jurassic Park (which never had trophies) are still available on the PlayStation Store, but you should probably snap them up quick if you were intending to play them one day. We'll keep you posted if more drastic disappearances happen on Steam or if PlayStation starts following suit.

We've got the full list of The Walking Dead: The Final Season trophies - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
