All-Stars, Sound Shapes Server Shutdowns Extended Until January 31st 2019

By Sam Quirke,
Despite no official announcements, several servers seem to have had a stay of execution from their original date in October. Sound Shapes, Twisted Metal and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale are all now listing 31st January 2019 as the shut-down date according to store listings.

Interestingly, these are three of the four games whose servers were supposed to be severed in October, yet there's no indication that Warhawk has also had its server shutdowns delayed. However, players are reporting that the servers are definitely still up for this game. Many suspect that this change is due to Kotaku's report, which points out that Warhawk's back-of-the-box small print says that server shutdowns will require 90 days advance notice — players actually only received 30 days notification.

Whatever the reason, now is definitely the time to get any related trophies cleared up.
