Star Wars Battlefront II Update Brings General Grievous Into The Fight

By Sam Quirke,
Star Wars Battlefront II has added the quadruple saber wielding General Grievous into the fight. The character first appeared in Revenge of the Sith.

Grievous arrives with a satisfying Unrelenting Advance ability equipping all four lightsabers. He costs 35,000 credits, with a Rare "Battle Damaged" additional appearance costing 20,000 credits or 500 crystals.

Elsewhere in the latest update, the squad system introduced in the last patch is getting a few tweaks. Here are the rules being added to the Squad System:
  • Troopers can spawn on Troopers
  • Troopers can spawn on Reinforcements
  • Troopers can spawn on Heroes (Exception being Boba Fett)
  • Reinforcements can spawn on Troopers
  • Reinforcements can spawn on Reinforcements
  • Reinforcements can spawn on Heroes (Exception being Boba Fett)
  • Heroes cannot spawn on anyone
Several barely-used Hero Star Cards are being replaced with Health Star Cards. Boba Fett, Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, Kylo Ren, and Darth Maul will get a "Health on Defeat" Card which regenerates a portion of health when an enemy is defeated. Chewbacca, Yoda, Finn, and Captain Phasma have a similar card but the effect will only activate if they defeat an enemy with a special ability.

The fan favourite fighter N-1, the Naboo Starfighter, is going to get more of an outing with the Grievous update with the ship's inclusion into Hero Starfighters as a grunt ship.
