The Evil Within 2 has received an update which allows players to use cheat codes, as long as they have signed up to Bethesda.net to access them. Reports suggest that trophies will still unlock even with the cheats active.
Here are the patch notes for Update 1.05, courtesy of GearNuke:
New features for Bethesda.Net members
Minor bug fixes
If you link your account for Bethesda.Net, you can get bonuses like AKUMU mode, Infinite stamina cheat, Super strength, and Invincibility.
AKUMU mode is an additional harder difficulty mode similar to the one found in the first game, but the other codes will make your journey through the game significantly easier. While there hasn't been any official confirmation we have had several reports that trophies and achievements are not affected by activating cheat codes. Obviously we still advise caution if you choose to use cheats.
The update is available now for PlayStation 4.
