While the long wait for Borderlands 3 continues, Gearbox are hoping to soften the heartache with a special VR version of the second game. Borderlands 2 VR will arrive on PlayStation VR before the end of the year.
According to Gearbox's announcement on PlayStation Blog, Borderlands 2 has been fully ported into the VR format but also updated with new mechanics and features built specifically for a headset. One of those new features is "BAMF-time", a play on bullet-time. BAMF-time has been integrated into the existing skill tree, meaning players can spend points on making the most of the new slow-mo features. Borderlands 2 VR will not have the co-op play of the original "flat" game, and so any skills relating to co-op play have been replaced with something more appropriate. First-person driving makes its debut in the VR version as well.
Borderlands 2 VR will be available from December 14th, and is already available for pre-order. Check out the details below:
