Ubisoft have provided a couple of updates on Assassin's Creed Odyssey in the last couple of days, including details on Assassin's Creed III Remastered as well as a reveal of Odyssey's upcoming live events.

According to Ubisoft's FAQ, the remaster will feature "resolution upscale" which means you can play in 4K and HDR on the PS4 Pro, as well as 1080p on a regular PlayStation 4. Higher resolution textures will be present alongside new character models, physics-based light rendering, denser crowds and improved visual effects. The release date of the Assassin's Creed III remaster has been confirmed as "March 2019" for Season Pass holders; no word yet on the details for any standalone version, though the wording implies that a separate version is indeed incoming.

ACO

As for Odyssey itself, as previously revealed there will be a consistent roster of live events for the foreseeable future. The first of those kicks off next week as Ubisoft have explained in a new article.

Live events rotate weekly between Epic Ships and Epic Mercenaries and are aimed at Level 30 players. Along with the daily quests and weekly contracts already available in the game, these new Epic events will reward players with the rare Orichalchum resource which Sargon at the Oikos of the Olympians will accept as currency for Rare, Epic and Legendary items. His inventory changes weekly. You can also spend Orichalcum on the "Olypmian Gift if you prefer to be surprised". That's a funny way of spelling loot box, isn't it?

The weekly events start next week, from October 16th.
