Vampyr's De-fanged Story Difficulty Arriving This Week

By Sam Quirke,
Despite all of the attention on Life Is Strange 2, DONTNOD Entertainment haven't forgotten about their dark Victorian adventure Vampyr. Those new difficulty modes that we reported on a few weeks back are finally arriving this week.

Story Mode will "de-emphasise" combat, meaning that those who didn't get on with the vampiric scrapping can focus on the game's dark and divergent narrative. On the other hand, those who really want to give themselves a challenge can up the stakes with Hard Mode, which will make combat more difficult. The original experience will still be available, re-labelled as Normal Mode.

There will be a handful of fixes in Wednesday's update too:

  • Fixed an issue where the key to Morgue was missing has been fixed (Mission 21)
  • Fixed an issue where there was a wall missing collisions in Aloysius’ mansion
  • Fixed an issue that would occur with two-handed weapon skills
  • Fixed an issue with Simplified Chinese achievements appearing in English
If there are any new trophies with the patch, you'll see them on the Vampyr Trophies page.

We've got the full list of Vampyr trophies - check the list for guides to unlocking them.
