Yesterday's Nintendo Direct dropped all sorts of bombshells, and a big one was that Final Fantasy games are headed to Xbox One and Switch. However, there were a couple of new entries for PlayStation fans as well, as detailed in Square Enix's official round-up. PlayStation 4 players will be getting Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY! and World of Final Fantasy Maxima, as well as the previously revealed Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD, which stealth-launched last week.
Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! is an updated version of 2007's Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon on the Wii and Nintendo DS. It's a randomised dungeon-crawler that only moves when the player moves. It will feature two-player co-op as well.
Square Enix describe World of Final Fantasy Maxima as a "crash course on what Final Fantasy is all about", an upgraded version of World of Final Fantasy from 2016. Lots of characters from across the storied history of the franchise will appear in the game.
World of Final Fantasy Maxima arrives on November 6th. Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon will follow along at some point this winter.
