Overwatch Reveals a New Challenge for D.Va Fans

By Sam Quirke, 9 months ago
In case you missed it, Blizzard recently revealed a new Overwatch short featuring esports player turned action hero D.Va learning the value of asking for help while taking on a small horde of tentacle robots above Busan:

Along with this new animated short comes a new D.Va themed challenge in the latest patch. The Nano Cola challenge runs until September 10th, and if a player wins three games in that period they will get some new D.Va sprays featuring her sponsored beverage. Six wins earns players a Nano Cola player icon, while nine unlocks a full Nano Cola themed skin for D.Va and her trusty mech. These wins can be earned in Quick Play, Competitive Play or Arcade.

Rewards are available for viewers as well as players — various new D.Va sprays (seen here) can be earned in Twitch Drops by watching two, four six and eight hours of the following streams:

Streamer Date & Time
Seagull August 28 (11:00 - 16:00 PDT)

Busan is the city featured in the short and will be a new Control map for the game. It's currently only in the Public Test Realm, but players can get a taste of what to expect in the below video:

Finally, there are a few bug fixes in the patch. Several problems with description displays in the Hero Gallery have been sorted, along with the following problems in the game itself:

  • Fixed a bug that prevented some of Roadhog’s voice lines from playing with his Lacrosse skin equipped
  • Fixed a bug that caused Symmetra’s Sentry Turrets to fall through the environment when thrown into a Teleporter
  • Fixed a bug that allowed Symmetra to teleport players into certain vehicles on King’s Row and Numbani
  • Fixed a bug that caused Winston’s Jump Pack damage to not fall off properly
  • Fixed an issue that prevented sound from playing after a memory-intensive team fight
