Resident Evil 2 European Collector's Edition Bigger Than The US Version

By Sam Quirke, 5 months ago
Last month Capcom revealed the Collector's Edition of the upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake, but it was limited to North American customers only. Now the European version has surfaced, and it's a little bit bigger.

Resi 2 EU Collector's Edition

The official Resident Evil Twitter account, which made the announcement, failed to give a reason as to why EU fans are getting more stuff in the box. Both versions have the game, the DLC, a digital soundtrack, a blueprint and an art book alongside the impressive Leon figurine, and both versions arrive in an authentic Raccoon Police Department item box. Yet European customers are also getting a physical soundtrack, a "Made in Heaven" pin and a set of R.P.D. replica keys — not to mention the fact that the game comes in a fancy steelbook in Europe.

It's not being added for free though. Whereas the US Collector's Edition is only $199 at GameStop, the UK version available at GAME.co.uk is £229 — in other words, almost US$300 at today's rates.

Let's face it — it's a lot of money either way. You can decide for yourself how much you want to make your wallet cry when Resident Evil 2 launches physically and digitally on January 25th 2019.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Resident Evil 2 trophies.
