Sad news for Spyro fans: the little purple dragon needs more time to refuel. Toys for Bob's Paul Yan has announced via Activision's blog that the Reignited Trilogy is being pushed back from September to a November release.
We're deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy... the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avalar and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.
To soften the blow, here's some gameplay footage showing Spyro taking on the Hurricos level from the second Spyro game. It shows off a faithful representation of the original level while making the most of the lovely lighting and texture effects and additional animations possible on modern consoles.
Spyro Reignited Trilogy will now be out just in time for the festive season, on November 13th.
