Play 30 Hours of Divinity: Original Sin II Right Now If You Pre-Order

By Sam Quirke,
An unexpected early release announced on PlayStation Blog means that fans who have pre-ordered Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition can enjoy the first act of the game — some thirty hours of content — three weeks ahead of launch.

Originally announced on the US PlayStation Blog as arriving on August 14th, Larian Studios have for whatever reason unlocked the pre-order content four days early. Michael Douse of Larian Studios says that the playable first act represents "20-30 hours of content depending how you play".

Progress made will carry straight over when the game launches for everyone on August 31st, though it's unclear at this point whether or not trophies will start unlocking from now (it's possible, seeing as the list turned up this week). Don't forget that pre-orders also come with an squirrel knight companion.
