Today PlayStation is celebrating an impressive milestone. 500 million consoles have been sold since the brand first took on the world back in 1994. To thank the players that have been with them on the journey, PlayStation Blog have revealed the "500 Million Limited Edition" PlayStation 4 Pro.

In the set, owners will get a translucent blue console with a copper PS logo, as well as a copper plaque with the limited edition number on the front of the console. The blue power light will show off the Pro's impressive hardware under the translucent hood. Bundled with this Pro is a matching DualShock controller with a mono-headset, a matching stand and even a matching PlayStation Camera. Sadly, there's no matching PlayStation VR headset to be seen. The whole bundle will cost you US$499 / €499 or your local equivalent, and is limited to 50,000 units.

If you can't see yourself splashing out on quite such an extravagance, maybe you'll think about upgrading your cans? The Gold Wireless Headset is also getting a "500 Million Limited Edition", retailing in Europe at €89 and in the US at $99.99. You will also be able to pick up the controller as a stand-alone purchase at US$64.99 / €64.
