Team Sonic Racing Trailer Shows Off Co-operative Gameplay

SUMO Digital, the creators of the Sonic AllStars Racing Series, are at it again with the upcoming Team Sonic Racing. In this gameplay video we see what it means to be part of a team this time around.

This latest hedgehog-based racer offers some new skills to help a team succeed. Skimboost allows players to boost teammates back into the fray when passing them, while Slingshot gives a boost when slipstreaming an ally. Item Boxes can be transferred between teammates anywhere on the track, while the Team Ultimate meter gives the entire team a big boost when full. It's not all friendly however, as the video also shows off Rival Takedowns; taking out a highlighted opponent gives a driver a significant speed boost too.

Team Sonic Racing arrives on PlayStation 4 in the Winter, but there's no solid release date as of yet.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Team Sonic Racing trophies.
