Digimon Survive Announced, To Celebrate The Series' 20th Anniversary

By Sam Quirke,
A Western version of Digimon Survive has been announced. The game celebrates the 20th anniversary of Digimon, which started life as a Tamagotchi-like toy but grew to a Pokémon-like multimedia franchise. A teaser trailer for the game has been released, and despite the name it doesn't look much like a survival game — if anything it looks like a blend of visual novel and turn-based RPG.

A brand-new band of teenagers will work together with their digital monsters as they try to fight their way back home. The game is coming out at some point in 2019 for PlayStation 4.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Digimon Survive trophies.
