Easy Trophy Lists in the EU Summer Sale

By Sam Quirke,
There's yet another massive game sale happening on PlayStation Store, this time for EU and Australia consumers. That means it's time for another quick round-up of some of the most accessible trophy lists in the pile. As per our normal aim with these articles, we start with five games we think are legitimately worth your time from a quality perspective rather than just for trophy efficiency. Beneath that is a table of other games in the sale that we believe aren't too taxing to complete.

Help us improve our listings by submitting your completion times when you finish off a trophy list. Not sure how to submit your estimates? Check out our guide!

Papers, Please (Vita)

Papers Please

One of the most popular indie games on Steam and Sony's handheld speaks volumes about our perceptions of communism and authoritarian control — not to mention the apathetic patterns we fall into when we're just "doing our jobs". But it's also a pretty easy trophy list that won't take you too long to get through, despite needing a couple of playthroughs.

Tekken 7

It's always a pleasant surprise to see a competent reliable franchise turn up in the easy trophy lists once in a while, to break things up from the strange and often less brilliant indies that tend to turn up in the pile. Tekken 7 is generally perceived to be one of the better entries in the franchise, certainly in the last decade or so. As a warning there are some online trophies involved here, but the effort is minimal — as long as the servers are holding up. (Don't forget that you can always arrange a boosting session on TT to help you get Okay! I'm Ready!, which needs four players.

Severed (Vita)

Severed 5

Often cited as one of the best games on the Vita in recent years, Severed is a dungeon crawler that makes the most of the Vita's control system, featuring both touch and traditional control manipulation. It's not a complete breeze, as fights will get progressively more difficult, but there's no real grind here and the upgrade system will make your life easier. Even conservative estimates would put this at a 10-12 hour completion — and it's a steal at this price.

RiME

Unfortunately a bit of a subdued marketing campaign followed by a messy port to the Nintendo Switch has made RiME fade from memory a little quicker than it deserves. It's a puzzle adventure that has reminded various reviewers of Journey, Ico and even Wind Waker in elements of its design, but RiME still manages to carry its own voice in its simple story and gameplay. More importantly, it's pretty straight forward, and though it has a few collectibles these can be mopped up after the game ends thanks to a chapter select option.

Batman: Arkham VR

Arkham VR

I wanted to give the PlayStation VR some love in this list, and you can't go wrong with Batman. The only real (and fair) criticism of Rocksteady's VR version of their popular Arkham series is that it's too short, but for the purposes of an easy trophy or two it suits this list perfectly. Once again there's a Chapter Select if you miss any collectibles. It might only be a couple of hours, but it's a couple of hours as Batman, so how can we complain?

Below are some other highlights from the sale. Most of them will take you no more than ten hours to get through, with some ranging slightly above or well below that figure. Again, make sure to post your completion times on your profile so we can improve our estimates!
