Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr Delayed to August

By Rebecca Smith,
The last we heard from Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr, the console version of the title had been delayed until July 5th. This week rolls around and the game is suspiciously missing from both Microsoft and Sony's release schedules. Retailers had a variety of dates for when it will be released, most of which were not July 5th. Everything pointed towards the game being delayed, and sure enough, publisher Bigben Interactive and developer NeocoreGames have both confirmed the game has been pushed back into August.

According to the developer, there are two reasons for the game's delay. The first is the usual need to give the game more polish, as well as to improve online functionality. The second is a bit more complicated and meant the team needs to find a solution for "access restrictions in certain countries where networks are subjected to stricter surveillance".

Both of these issues mean the game will now be released on August 23rd, except in North America and Latin America where the release date is yet to be confirmed.
