Concrete Genie Gameplay Draws a Pretty Picture By Rebecca Smith, 15 Jun 2018 CommentsAt Paris Games Week in October, Sony chose to announce a number of new titles making their way to PlayStation 4. One of those was Pixelopus' Concrete Genie. While the game didn't make an appearance during Sony's on-stage presentation at E3, it did manage to join the PlayStation Live team on stage not once, but twice. The game is about a young boy called Ash who lives in the heavily polluted and dreary fishing town of Denska. However, Ash has the power to bring the town back to life with his paintings. The first demonstration begins as Ash avoids the bullies that are making his life a misery and will make it difficult to paint the town. Not only will Ash be able to draw landscapes to brighten the town's walls and reilluminate the lamps, he can also draw genie creatures with different powers. These can then be used to solve puzzles found throughout the town. The team then goes through the tutorial showcasing some of the painting gameplay, avoiding bullies, and refilling Ash's sketchbook with new abilities, all with developer commentary. In the second segment, the team takes a more detailed look at all of the finer points of the painting gameplay. You'll be able to create your own masterpieces when Concrete Genie arrives on PlayStation 4 later this year. We've got the full list of Concrete Genie trophies - check the list for guides to unlocking them.VideoScreenshotsUpcoming ReleasePlayStation 4 Written by Rebecca SmithRebecca is the Newshound Manager at TrueGaming Network.
