Persona 3 and 5 Dancing Games are Headed to the West

By Sam Quirke, 1 year ago
The Persona Series has a bit of a history of dancing related spin-offs, normally appearing in Japan and only later in the West, and often on Vita. Atlus has announced the Western release of Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, and they will be arriving on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita

Whether you pick up on the adventures of the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad or the Phantom Thieves, in both games you will find the heroes whisked away to the mysterious Club Velvet and its enigmatic residents, who force them to perform at a strange dance party.

You'll be able to enjoy the most memorable songs from the games from Shoji Meguro and Ryota Kozuka, as well as remixes by ATOLS, Lotus Juice, Taku Takahashi, Jazztronik and more. As expected, beyond the main rhythm-action game you'll also be able to develop social connections between characters and collect those all-important costumes.

Atlus took to the stage at E3 to talk in more detail about the two games as well, as well as some live on-stage gameplay at about nine minutes into the video.

Both games should be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in "early 2019".
