In comparison to the last few weekends, this one was quiet. Maybe it's because we're building up to E3, or maybe it's for some other reason, but we only have five new titles for you today. All five are confirmed for PlayStation. The list is below; see if there's something that attracts your attention.
Anshar Studios' PlayStation VR title aims to give players the experience of being an astronaut without leaving their house. You need to explore Big Zoe, a shuttle that's a great source for space scrap. Unfortunately it has also attracted a lot of rival scavengers. The issue is compounded by the need to fight for the little oxygen supplies and fuel that's available. Will you find the resources you need to survive? As well as a single player mode, there will be two multiplayer modes where players either race to traverse the shuttle or fight over its cargo. The title will arrive on PlayStation 4 on July 5th.
ONEVISION's "surreal, poetic, and minimalistic first-person exploration game" recently hit its funding target on Kickstarter to bring it to PlayStation 4 later this year. Players are all alone in a post-apocalyptic world that's fading away into unknown realms. As you explore, you'll discover secrets, surreal events and forgotten locations that may be from another world. It's up to you to discover the truth.
Action Squad Studios' debut console title is a "genre-blending" tactical RPG where players take simultaneous turns, and time rewinding mechanics add a bit of spice to proceedings. Inspired by Nordic mythos, as well as Kalevala and Finnish folklore, players assume the role of Kipuna, a village girl with a power that allows her to control time and death. Together with a group of heroes, she's drawn into a war between the Northlanders, led by the Witch Queen, and the city of Kalevala, currently ruled by an immortal who has renounced the gods. The main focus of the game is on story, combat, and puzzles, rather than grinding character progress. You can try it for yourself when it arrives on PlayStation 4 in the future.
The "lighthearted" RPG puts players in control of a group of gamers who are playing their characters in a tabletop RPG, as well as the dungeon master. Players can pick the race, class and skills of their characters, as well as the actual role-player. Then it's up to the dungeon master to dictate the story, as the gamers go on an adventure through the world. As they sit at the table, the room changes around them to match the places and enemies they'll encounter. You won't have long to try this for yourself as the title releases on PlayStation 4 on May 29th.
The Domaginarium's point and click title tells the story of the titular Aisling, who finds herself transported to a world of memories, dreams and nightmares. Brought here by a mysterious being called The Mourner, she learns about a darkness that covers and corrupts the land, The Gloom, which emanates from The Mourner. If she finds the three treasures that together allow access to the being, she'll be able to restore peace to The Dreamlands, and perhaps even return to her own world. The title has recently been released on Steam and is coming to PlayStation 4 and Vita at a later date.
