Love them or hate them,
Overwatch: Origins Edition is known for its limited time events. Blizzard Entertainment has revealed that the game will soon be getting a new event in the form of Retribution, taking players into the game's archives. The event will begin next week.
Players will travel back to events that happened eight years ago. The Blackwatch team of Genji, Moira, McCree, and Reyes, who is now known as Reaper, has been tasked with capturing a high-ranking member of the Talon organisation in Venice. As players complete the mission, they'll be able to unlock 60 new items, such as highlight intros, emotes, and sprays. Accompanying the new items will be over 100 items returning from last year. In the trailer below, take a look at the mission you'll be taking on.
As well as the returning items, the development team has confirmed that last year's Uprising event will also be returning. Uprising's story mission tasks Tracer, Reinhardt, Torbjörn and Mercy with liberating King's Row from the grip of the Null Sector. This was Tracer's first Blackwatch mission. The event's All Heroes mode will also be available.
Retribution will begin on April 10th, and we assume that Uprising will return on the same date. The event ends on April 30th.
