Futuristic Combat Racer GRIP Announced for PlayStation 4

Inspired by the Rollcage games from the late 90's, Caged Element's GRIP is a brutal racer where the aim is not just to win the race, but to cause as much destruction as you possibly can along the way. The developer has teamed up with publisher Wired Productions to bring their debut title to PlayStation 4.

Players will use any tactics they can think of to win the race. Scale walls, drive across the ceiling, and pull off tricks and stunts as you head towards the finish line. Don't let your opponents get in the way either — customise your vehicles with the deadliest weapons and get ready to take them down. The game's destructible environments can also help you gain an advantage over those you're trying to beat. You can get an idea of what to expect in the game's announcement trailer below:

The game will come with both online and offline multiplayer gameplay. Players can take part in split-screen racing, as well as multiplayer tournaments. It will look even better on PlayStation 4 Pro as the developer has promised full enhancements for the console.

GRIP is currently being shown off at the Game Developers Conference this week, but if you can't make it there, it will also be present at PAX East and EGX Rezzed. Alternatively, the game is scheduled for a full release later this year.
