Ni no Kuni II Roland Trailer and Look Behind the Scenes

The character trailer for the boy king Evan was released about a week ago. This time around, Bandai Namco has given us a trailer for the mysterious traveler, Roland. This comes alongside a behind the scenes look at the art style in Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom.

It may sound far-fetched, but Roland is a president from another world who has been transported to Ni no Kuni due to unknown circumstances. When he meets Evan, he decides to aid and protect him. You can get a short introductory look at Roland in his character trailer below.

The second video sits us down with the art director for Ni no Kuni II, Nobuyuki Yanai. He talks about the way that he and his team strived to show players the charm of 2D animation while giving it a "3D feel". Check out the video below to hear more about the artistic challenge involved with bringing the game to life.

You will be able to learn more about Roland while taking in the unique art style when Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom launches this week on March 23rd.
