Ever since the team at CD Projekt teased that The Witcher
series protagonist Geralt Of Rivia would be turning up in another game later this year, the common consensus across the internet pointed to SOULCALIBUR VI
. Between the series' focus on weapon-based combat, an inclination for guest characters, and a friendly relationship between the Polish developer and Bandai Namco
after the latter published The Witcher
series in Europe, all signs pointed towards the two teaming up. Turns out, believe it or not, the internet was absolutely right; Bandai Namco revealed today that Geralt will be bringing his silver and steel to the Stage of History.
In addition to Geralt himself, the Witcher's home of Kaer Morhen will also be a playable stage in the game. You can see both in Geralt's announcement trailer below as the White Wolf takes on Mitsurugi with a mixture of sword and spells.
, now including Geralt of Rivia, will swing onto PlayStation 4 later this year.
