Whilst Ferrari celebrated turning a septuagenarian last year, it's now Porsche's turn to celebrate its 70th anniversary. To mark the occasion, Project CARS 2
has announced that there will be a special DLC pack dedicated to the world-famous German marque.
The "Porsche Legends Pack" will feature a selection of nine iconic cars from different eras, beginning with the road-going car that started it all, the Porsche 356, and coming right up-to-date with the 2017 Porsche 911 RSR. Not all of the remaining seven cars have been revealed, but we do know that the "Can-Am Killer" Porsche 917/10 from 1972 will be included.
Along with the cars, a new and yet-to-be-named track will also be included. It is a real-world, FIA approved track that is "intimately associated with Porsche", and it will be the first time that it has been included in any simulated racing game. Additionally, the pack will contain 20 new liveries, nine community events, and five new career events dedicated to the Porsche experience.
Finally, it's worth mentioning that the PC version of the title has just received 'Title Update 1.4', possibly the largest update yet for the racing title, with fixes to the AI, tracks, cars, handling, gameplay, user interface, hardware, and the game engine, including performance improvements to the Livetrack 3.0 engine. Although this update is for the PC, Slightly Mad Studios has stated that the update will be available 'imminently' on the console.
The "Porsche Legends Pack" will be available on the Playstation 4 in early March.
